ANTHONY CIRELLI'S TIME IN TAMPA MAY BE COMING TO AN END
Anthony Cirelli has played in Tampa Bay for the past 4 seasons, but now that he is a restricted free agent that may change.
The Tampa Bay Lightning recently re-signed Mikhail Sergachev to a contract, but that has put the Lightning just about 2 million dollars above the cap with 4 players left to sign including Anthony Cirelli.
Hockey analyst Pierre LeBrun tweeted out that talks between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Cirelli have been moving slow and as of Wednesday there was "nothing new to report."
He is a restricted free agent so the Lightning do have all the headway to sign him over other teams, but we may be able to predict an offer sheet soon if the Lightning can't figure out the cap situation.

Doesn't sound like there's been much headway on the Anthony Cirelli RFA front.
``Nothing new to report,'' says Cirelli's agent Pat Morris of Newport Sports.— Pierre LeBrun (@PierreVLeBrun) November 25, 2020
