BLUES RUMOURED TO BE SEEKING A FIRST ROUND PICK FOR 24-YEAR-OLD DEFENCEMAN

The St. Louis Blues seem to be preparing to move on from defenceman Vince Dunn, according to TSN's Frank Seravalli. The Blues have been discussing Dunn in trade talks with other teams, and Elliotte Friedman said on Sportsnet 650 radio that St. Louis is seeking a 1st round pick in return.





The 24-year-old re-signed with the Blues on December 31st, agreeing to terms on a one-year contract worth $1.875 million.

Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic is reporting that the Peterborough, Ontario native will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday night when St. Louis takes on the Vegas Golden Knights.



Dunn was drafted in the second round, 56th overall by the St. Louis Blues in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. In 230 regular season games, he has 84 points (27 G, 47 A), 94 penalty minutes, and is a +27. In 29 career playoff games, he's tallied 11 points (2 G, 9 A), 16 penalty minutes, and is a -7. Dunn won the Stanley Cup with the Blues in 2019.



Prior to turning pro, Dunn spent three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Niagara Ice Dogs. In 185 regular season games, he recorded 132 points (35 G, 97 A), 156 penalty minutes, and was a +8. In 27 playoff games, he had 23 points (11 G, 12 A), 16 penalty minutes, and was a -7.
