CANUCKS WINGER J.T. MILLER HOPS ON A PRIVATE JET TO CALGARY ON SUNDAY

The Vancouver Canucks received some very well-timed good news on Sunday, less than 24-hours after dropping a 3-0 decision to the Calgary Flames. Per Sportsnet's Dan Murphy, it appears as though 1st line winger J.T. Miller has been cleared by health officials to join the Canucks on the road in Calgary.

Miller is expected to practice with the Canucks in Calgary on Sunday, after taking a private jet from Vancouver to reunite with the team ahead of Monday's grudge match between the Scotia North Division rivals.

The Canucks have been utilizing winger Jake Virtanen on the club's top line in Miller's absence, finding very little chemistry and no success, however. It is expected that Miller will resume skating alongside Elias Pettersson and Brock Boeser, and not a moment too soon, as the Canucks are off to a 1-2 start and rest at the bottom of the division through 3 games without him in the lineup.

Miller enjoyed a break-out season with the Canucks in 2019-20, exploding offensively and flourishing alongside Pettersson and Boeser, registering 27 goals and 45 assists for 72 points in 69 games in the pandemic-shortened campaign.

The Canucks will look for some redemption against the Flames on Monday, with a 9pm ET start.
