EKMAN-LARSSON REPORTEDLY GOING TO BE OUT A WHILE
Tough news for the Arizona Coyotes just a couple of games into the season. During a game against the Sane Jose Sharks Saturday night, Coyotes captain Oliver Ekman-Larsson took an awkward fall into the boards after a high-stick from Evander Kane. If you haven't seen it yet, here you go:
Ekman-Larsson left the game and would not return. It sounds like he won't be back for a while.
"Bad news from Coyotes camp: Sounds like captain Oliver Ekman-Larsson is going to miss significant time after last night's hit from San Jose's Evander Kane," said Coyotes Insider Craig Morgan on Twitter.
Arizona has released a statement saying Ekman-Larsson is day-to-day but won't be making the trip to Las Vegas.
It was just Ekman-Larsson's second game of the season. The 29-year-old defenceman has already recorded three assists.
