HABS SIGN 2020 SECOND ROUND PICK TO ELC

The Montreal Canadiens announced on Tuesday morning that they've signed 2020 second round pick (48th overall) Jan Mysak to a three-year entry-level contract that will begin next season. The contract will carry him through the 2023-24 season and comes with an $850,833 AAV.

Mysak, 18, started 2020-21 season with Litvinov in the Czech Extraliga on loan from his junior club, the Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL), and is currently with the Laval Rocket on an ATO.

In 11 games with Litvinov, he tallied 1 point (1 A), 14 penalty minutes, and was a -5. With Laval, Mysak has 2 points (2 G), 0 penalty minutes, and is a -1 in 12 games.

The Litvinov, Czech Republic native suffered an injury after being hit during a game against the Manitoba Moose on March 28th, and has yet to return to the Rocket lineup.

Mysak becomes the second player drafted by the Canadiens in 2020 to have signed their entry-level contract joining first round pick Kaiden Guhle.
