JOEL ARMIA INJURED FOLLOWING HIGH HIT BY TYLER MYERS

The Montreal Canadiens may have defeated the Vancouver Canucks 7-3 Thursday night but it didn't come without some sort of loss. Habs head coach Claude Julien has confirmed forward Joel Armia has been diagnosed with a concussion after taking a high hit from Vancouver Tyler Myers late in this third. Check it out:

Myers was assessed a five minute penalty on the play. No word yet on any possible supplementary discipline, although TSN radio's Matt Sekeras claims that Myers may avoid any additional punishment.

Armia had his best game of the season in the win over the Canucks, netting two goals and adding two assists. Meanwhile, Julien also confirmed that Paul Byron was injured after taking a Shea Weber slapshot to the foot, and will be re-evaluated ahead of the next game on Saturday evening.
