MACKENZIE WEEGAR HIGH-STICKS OWN TEAMMATE IN EXCITEMENT OVER WIN
Winning is great, everyone loves it. But, you have to try not to hurt anyone while celebrating your win, too. Tuesday night, the Florida Panthers beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3 in a shootout. It's the team's third straight victory and Florida is now undefeated on the season after starting late due to concerns over COVID-19.
After the win was solidified, the Panthers' bench started celebrating. MacKenzie Weegar got so excited that he didn't realize what he was doing and smacked teammate Brett Connolly right in the face with his stick. Check it out:
Connolly was fine and Weegar earned some playful shoves from his teammates for his mistake. Like his team, the 27-year-old defenceman is off to a good start, recording two assists in three games and he sits at a plus-2
