MAPLE LEAFS LOSE GOALTENDER JACK CAMPBELL TO INJURY

According to Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe, goaltender Jack Campbell will be out for "weeks" with a leg injury sustained in Sunday's win against the Calgary Flames.

While no official reason has been given on how Campbell's leg injury happened, it's possible it occurred when he kicked out his left leg to make a save in the final minutes of the third period.

Michael Hutchinson will now be the Maple Leafs backup for the foreseeable future, and Joseph Woll will travel out west to join the Taxi Squad. It's likely Aaron Dell would have stepped up into the number 2 role behind Frederik Andersen, but he was claimed off waivers by the New Jersey Devils last week.

Campbell, 29, was drafted in the first round, 11th overall by the Dallas Stars in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He's spent parts of six seasons in the NHL with the Dallas Stars, Los Angeles Kings, and Toronto Maple Leafs.

In 66 career games, Campbell has tallied 25 wins, 27 losses, 6 overtime/shootout losses, a 2.56 G.A.A., a .916 save percentage, and 2 shutouts.
