MATTHEW TKACHUK SNAPS AFTER JAKE MUZZIN FLIPS A PUCK AT HIM AFTER LOSS TO THE LEAFS

While the Maple Leafs home-and-home sweep of the Calgary Flames was noteworthy in its own right, it was the postgame extra-curricular activity that received all the attention on Tuesday night.

Prior to Tuesday's matchup against the Flames, the plot line that everyone was paying close attention to was how the Leafs would respond to Matthew Tkachuk's accidentally on purpose tumble onto the back/neck of downed Leafs goaltender Jack Campbell, just moments after Campbell had appeared to hurt his left leg attempting to kick out a puck that had been fired on net. In case you missed it, you can see the video below:

While the Leafs maintained their composure for the vast majority of the contest, aiming to let cooler heads prevail and walk away with the two points, Leafs defenseman Jake Muzzin put an exclamation point on the Leafs victory by flipping the puck at a downed Matthew Tkachuk at the conclusion of Tuesday's game, sending Tkachuk into a red-hot rage.

As the saying goes, if you're going to dish it out, you have to be able to take it. Tkachuk, whether you like him or not, has a history of being able to take it - however, on this particular night, he absolutely was not in the mood. Jake Muzzin was issued an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for his troubles.

One thing's for certain. The remaining 7 games between these two teams will definitely be worth watching. Who doesn't love the new Scotia North Division?
