MIKE TYSON ADMITS TO BEING HIGH DURING FIGHT WITH ROY JONES JR.
Mike Tyson isn't hiding anything when it comes to his recent fight against Roy Jones Jr. Tyson, 54, told reporters he smoked cannabis just before the fight.
“Absolutely yes… Listen, I can’t stop smoking,” the former heavyweight champion of the world told reporters after his first fight in 15 years. “I smoked during fights. I just have to smoke, I’m sorry. I’m a smoker. … I smoke everyday. I never stopped smoking.”
The Voluntary Anti-Doping Association tested both fighters for performance enhancing drugs before the fight, which ended in an unofficial draw. Weed was not on the list of banned substances.
"It’s just who I am,’’ Tyson said. “It has no effect on me from a negative standpoint. It’s just what I do and how I am and how I’m going to die. There’s no explanation. There’s no beginning, there’s no end.”
Tyson is involved in the recreational and medicinal marijuana industry and even has a school that teaches farmers to grow and maintain specific strains.
