NICK COUSINS TAKES OFFENCE TO BEING INSULTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA
The conversation started out innocently enough, with a graph showing the Max Domi, who was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets from the Montreal Canadiens, generated a lot of chances on the powerplay, something his new team is bound to notice.
each #habs PP unit's ability to generate chances and score. You can see, as underlined by @MAGodin, the Domi unit generated a lot of shot attempts. But, although their conversion rate was low, they actually scored at a higher rate than 'unit 1'. pic.twitter.com/I3UDKhlYui— Jason Paul 🥥 (@WaveIntel) December 2, 2020
Someone decided to reply to that Tweet, pointing out that a powerplay can likely never be that successful if Nick Cousins was playing on it, something that was happening when both Domi and Cousins were playing with the Montreal Canadiens last season. The original poster also replied to that, agreeing with the assessment.
Regardless of the outcomes, seeing Nick Cousins name anywhere on this chart is not a good thing and cannot lead tok success.— J Morissette (@Jmorissette52) December 4, 2020
Hahaha. Agree. And the most important perspective is simple- even the best performers were part of a bad overall PP.— Jason Paul 🥥 (@WaveIntel) December 4, 2020
Someone must have shown the Tweet to Cousins, who apparently wasn't overly happy with it, given his response.
How many NHL games have you guys played ? Can’t seem to find you guys on HockeyDB... https://t.co/8hcMUkwiwR— Nick Cousins (@Cous27) December 4, 2020
Hey, if you're going to insult someone on social media, don't be shocked if they answer back.
