STARS RETURN TO PRACTICE, LONG LIST OF PLAYERS MISSING

After five days off, the Dallas Stars returned to practice amid a COVID-19 outbreak within the team. Last Friday, the Stars cancelled practice after six players and two coaches tested positive for the virus.

The Stars won't begin their season until January 19th at the earliest, with three games being postponed (Jan 14th/15th vs Florida and Jan 17th vs Tampa Bay).

Twenty-five players returned to the ice on Tuesday, while a total of fifteen were missing from practice. Teams are not allowed to disclose why players are missing from practice during training camp.

The players that were absent Tuesday are: Nick Caamano, Jason Dickinson, Justin Dowling, Radek Faksa, Rhett Gardner, Joel Kiviranta, Jason Robertson, Taylor Fedun, Joel Hanley, Thomas Harley, Miro Heiskanen, Julius Honka, Esa Lindell, Jamie Oleksiak, and Mark Pysyk.

If everything continues to go well for the Stars this week, they will open the 2020-21 season on January 19th in Tampa Bay at 7pm ET.
