WINNIPEG JETS WILL NOT PRACTICE SATURDAY AFTER POSSIBLE COVID-19 EXPOSURE
The Winnipeg Jets announced earlier that they will not be practicing Saturday as a precautionary measure caused from a possible COVID-19 exposure. No other information relating to the incident has been released at this time.
This potentially could put the Jets' game on Monday against the Toronto Maple Leafs in jeopardy due to the NHL COVID-19 protocols.
Currently, the Jets sit at 1-0-0 after defeating the Calgary Flames in the first game of the year 4-3. Patrik Laine and Kyle Connor both started the season off right, with each player recording 3 points. It would be difficult if the team was forced to miss time, as it appears that they may have fixed some of their problems from last season.
If a player tested positive for COVID-19, the NHL will likely be releasing the name or names that did so. This must be completed in accordance with the NHL COVID-19 protocol.
