Vegas Golden Knights’ William Karlsson out with injury

Since being selected by Vegas in the NHL 2017-2018 expansion draft, top line center William Karlsson has yet to miss a game with the team, the longest consecutive streak in the team's young history.

It was announced by the Golden Knights organization on Thursday afternoon that Karlsson is out of the line-up on a week-to-week basis, with an undisclosed upper-body injury.

For the first time in team history, he will not suit up Thursday night against Ottawa, thus ending his streak of consecutive play. This will also be the first time in his NHL career that the Swedish forward has ever missed a game due to injury.

At this time, there are no available updates on the upper-body injury. There will be a follow-up to come as more information becomes accessible.
