Josh Vold   ·   9 février 2020
Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid suffered a bruised left knee during Saturday night's win over the Nashville Predators.

Oilers head coach Dave Tippett told the media after the that the injury was "nothing serious" and that McDavid received ice treatment between periods and after the game. McDavid did not speak to the media after the game.

"He has a little bruise on top of his knee or something like that. They looked at it between periods, he iced it and they wanted to ice him right after the game. I asked him how he was doing and he said 'I'm fine, I'm playing.' He got out there and played." Tippett told Sportsnet's Mark Spector. "As far as I know it is nothing serious."

With a goal in the game, McDavid now has 31 goals and 81 points in 55 games this season, which is second in league scoring behind his Oilers teammate Leon Draisaitl.
