Boston's Jeremy Lauzon has been suspended for hit on Derek Stepan

Jeremy Lauzon of the Boston Bruins has received his punishment from the Department of Player Safety for his illegal hit to the head of Arizona's Derek Stepan Saturday night. Lauzon will sit for the next two games for his actions.

Stepan left the game, but did return in the third period. Lauzon was assessed a five-minute major and match penalty after a review by the officials. You can view the hit here:



Boston fans on social media were upset when it was announced that Lauzon would have a hearing with DoPS as the Coyotes Lawson Crouse hit Charlie McAvoy in the head in the same game and only received a minor penalty on the play and no hearing. You can check out that hit below.
