Encouraging update on Phillip Danault after taking puck to the face and leaving game

The last thing the Montreal Canadiens needed to deal with was an injury to another one of their key players. Luckily for the team, it appears Phillip Danault will not miss any time after leaving Monday night's game against Arizona. Danault took a puck to the face after his teammate Tomas Tatar took a shot on net that was deflected.

According to TSN's John Lu, Danault required dental work, but he is making the trip to Boston with the rest of the team and will more than likely be in the lineup Wednesday night. He is, however, expected to be wearing a full face shield.

Danault plays a huge role for the Habs in shutting down other team's offensive lines. He averages around 19 minutes of ice time and has 12 goals and 40 points on the season.

As for teammate Shea Weber and when he might be back in the lineup, head coach Claude Julien told media Tuesday that he expects a better update from medical staff by the end of this week. Weber hasn't played since last Tuesday night's game against New Jersey and all the team will say is that he has a lower-body injury. According to Lu, even his teammates have been left in the dark about the severity of his injury.
