Anaheim and Detroit claim players from waivers

As confirmed ahead of the deadline by TSN’s Pierre LeBrun, the Anaheim Ducks have claimed left winger Andrew Agozzino off of waivers from the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Ducks aren’t alone in this move, as the Detroit Red Wings have acquired Dmytro Timashov, a 23 year old left wing, who was placed on waivers by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Agozzino has appeared in 17 games with Pittsburgh this season, netting two assists. He has seven points (1G, 6A) through 38 career NHL games.



Timashov, who was drafted by Toronto in 2015, has appeared in 39 NHL games and has 9 career points (4G, 5A.)
