Just one day after being released from the Los Angeles Rams organization, the most productive back in the NFL, Todd Gurley, is heading home to Georgia.

The three-time Pro Bowler has agreed to a one year deal with the Atlanta Falcons, reportedly to the tune of just over $34 million.

The 25 year old currently leads the league in rushing touchdowns, and sits near the top of the leaderboard in rushing yards, second only to Dallas’ Ezekiel Elliot.

Assuming all are able to stay healthy, this could be a big move for Atlanta, pairing the 2017 Offensive Player of the Year with wide receivers Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley, as well as quarterback Matt Ryan, further adding offensive prowess to the Falcons backfield.

While the 19-20 season wasn’t quite the year the Rams hoped for with Gurley, who averaged just 3.8 yards per carry, the young back has the power and on-field vision to blast through gaps and make big plays. He’ll also serve as an upgraded passing target for Matt Ryan.
