The Vancouver Canucks have signed forwards Will Lockwood and Marc Michaelis. Lockwood received a two-year deal while Michaelis signed a one-year.

Lockwood, who was the first of the two announced, was selected by the Canucks in the third round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. He has played the last four seasons at the University of Michigan, and put up 23 points in 33 games this season. The 21-year-old has also competed for Team USA at the World Junior Championships (WJC) in 2018, where he helped them capture a bronze medal.

Michaelis, 24, also just finished up his final year of college hockey, playing all four seasons with Minnesota State. He impressed in his final season with 20 goals and 44 points in just 31 games. His entire college career was extremely successful as he managed 162 points over 148 games. Like Lockwood, he also competed in the WJC, representing Germany in 2015. He put up two assists in six games at the tournament.
