CAREY PRICE NOT CONVINCED NHL SHOULD RETURN

Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price spoke with the media for the first time in a long time today. One of the main discussions revolved around the NHL planning to soon return to playoffs, something Price doesn’t seem overly comfortable with.

“I would tell you that I probably wouldn’t be comfortable voting at this particular time,” said Price. “I want the opportunity to be able to play for a Stanley Cup, but I want to live my life normally.” The 32-year-old said he has lost both friends and family due to COVID-19.

Price also went on to mention that there are a lot more questions that are still needing to be answered before they return to play. As far as returning to Montreal, he said he would like to make plans to return for camp which is set to begin July 10, but would like to have a few more answers to some questions first.

For now, the former Hart Trophy winner is in Kennewick, Washington. He has been both skating and working out at the Tri City Americans facilities. Price and his teammates were the 24th out of 24 teams to be included in this year’s playoffs after the NHL expanded this year's postseason from 16 to 24 teams. Though they did not have much regular season success this year, many believe they can be a dark horse due to Price's abilities.
