NO LOVE LOST BETWEEN ASTROS AND DODGERS

The Astros and Dodgers faced off on Tuesday in a 2017 World Series rematch. It was the first time the Dodgers went to Minute Maid Park since losing that World Series game there.

Of course, a lot has happened in the almost two years the Dodgers have not played there. The main thing being the Astros cheating scandal that arguably won them the 2017 World Series. The Dodgers have been the most upset about the scandal, as they believe they would have won the World Series if the Astros did not cheat.

Their anger seemed to be released in Tuesday’s game. It appeared to be a normal game until the eccentric Joe Kelly came in to pitch in the sixth inning. He got Altuve out on one pitch. Then Alex Bregman went to a 3-0 count. The next pitch went behind Bregman’s head. Kelly then worked his way to get two outs when he faced Carlos Correa. Kelly fell behind in the count when he threw a ball behind Correa’s head. He worked his way back to a 2-2 count and got Correa to chase a slider out of the zone.

Kelly taunted Correa and the two began to argue. The benches cleared, but there was no fighting. Both teams simply yelling at each other while the umpires did their best to keep them distanced. The odd part is Kelly was not on the Dodgers in 2017, but he was on a Red Sox team that was eliminated by the Astros. With the series just getting started, there could be plenty more of arguing and throwing at batters in the days to come.
