MAX PACIORETTY FINALLY ENTERS THE BUBBLE

The Vegas Golden Knights finally have their leading scorer from this season in the bubble in Edmonton with his teammates. Max Pacioretty arrived on Sunday and will begin practicing with his teammates on Monday.

Pacioretty, who was one point away from setting a new career high when the NHL shut down on March 12th due to the COVID-19 pandemic, missed all of the round robin games the Golden Knights played. It didn't matter much as the team still captured the top seed in the Western Conference.

Vegas head coach Peter DeBoer has confirmed that Pacioretty may be ready to go for game one of the Golden Knights series against the Chicago Blackhawks. Pacioretty suffered a "minor injury" during the first week of Phase 3 training camp and didn’t travel with the team to Edmonton on July 26th so he could continue to rehab in the team’s home facilities. He completed his necessary quarantine before heading to Edmonton.

Pacioretty had a team high 32 goals when the NHL shut down, the fifth time in his career that he has scored at least 30 goals in a season. He was just five away from his career high of 37 goals with 11 games left the play.
