CANADIENS AGREE TO TERMS WITH FORWARD

The Montreal Canadiens have agreed to terms with forward Joseph Blandisi.

The deal will be a one-year, two-way deal. He will be making $700,000 in the NHL and $325,000 in the AHL. The contract will expire at the end of the 2020-21 season.

Blandisi was traded to the Canadiens along with Jake Lucchini for Philip Varone and Riley Barber from the Penguins. He played 4 games for the Laval Rocket. He played 21 games for the Penguins prior to being traded. He scored 2 goals and had 3 assists for 5 points.



Blandisi was drafted 162nd overall by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2012 NHL draft. He has scored 10 goals and has 21 assists in 101 regular season games.

He has played for the New Jersey Devils, Anaheim Ducks, and Pittsburgh Penguins. He has not played an NHL game for the Canadiens.
