Could Joe Pavelski and the Sharks break up?

june 24, 2019
Joe Pavelski is expected to be free agent coming july 1st and according to multiple insiders, he is not close to a deal with the Sharks.

According to the Athletic's Pierre LeBrun, the 34 years old player is planning on meeting a couple of teams this week.

There is only $14,8 million left under salary cap for next year and only 15 players under contract. CapFriendly shows there is $66,65 million already allowed, and that could be a problem for GM Doug Wilson, because Pavelski is expected to sign for at least the half of what it's left.

Joe scored 38 goals last year and reached the 35 goals mark in four of the last six seasons. He is second in franchise history for the goals scored and fourth for the number of games in a Sharks jersey.
