Report: two Blackhawks on the trading block

july 15, 2019
It appears Chicago GM Stan Bowman may not be done making moves this summer. According to The Score 670’s Jay Zawaski, the Blackhawks are currently shopping at least two forwards.

On a recent episode of the Mad House Chicago Hockey podcast, Zawaski revealed that one of the names being dangled is center Artem Anisimov. The Russian NHL veteran scored 15 goals and tallied 37points last year in 78 games.

The other name reportedly being shopped is restricted free agent forward Brendan Perlini. The upcoming season will be his fifth in the NHL. Drafted 12th overall by the Arizona Coyotes in 2014, Perlini was traded to Chicago, along with Dylan Strome, in exchange for Nick Schmaltz in November of 2018.

It remains to be seen whether Bowman can move one, or both, of these forwards before the start of the 2019-2020 regular season.
