SJHL player gets lengthy suspension for ramming goalie

september 16, 2019
Greg Mulhall of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey league has been suspended 25 games for ramming into goaltender Berk Berkeliev over the weekend. It happened during a game between the Yorkton Terriers and Melville Millionaires when Mulhall was chasing the puck and Berkeliev comes out to play it to make sure Mulhall doesn't get in alone.

The league ruled Mulhall, of the Terriers, was attempting to injure Berkeliev on the hit.

Berkeliev was brought to hospital following the hit, but was released on Sunday. He says this won't take away his passion for hockey.

Did the league get the suspension right?
