John Tavares injured in loss to Caps

october 17, 2019
The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that captain John Tavares has suffered a broken finger in Wednesday's loss to Washington.

Tavares will miss at least the next two weeks, at which point, he will be reassessed by the Maple Leafs medical staff.

This is an enormous loss for a Leafs team that has struggled to start the season. No word yet on who will replace Tavares on the Marner line.
