Thursday's Quick Hits: Two Leafs and an Oiler hit waivers, injury updates and more!

7 novembre 2019
The Toronto Maple Leafs have placed Martin Marincin and Nic Petan on waivers. Marincin has 0 points in 7 games this season, while Petan has recorded 1 assist in 5 games with the Maple Leafs this season.

The Edmonton Oilers have also placed Tomas Jurko on waivers. The 26 year old has recorded two assists in 12 games with the Oilers this season.

The Calgary Flames have sent Oliver Kylington down to the Stockton Heat of the AHL, and have recalled Brandon Davidson, who has 2 goals and 8 points in 10 games in the AHL so far.

Roope Hintz of the Dallas Stars will be out for two weeks as he deals with a lower-body injury. Hintz had a great start to the season, scoring nine goals and 11 points in 16 games.

Carolina has placed Alex Lintuniemi on unconditional waivers, presumably for the purpose of terminating his contact. He had played four games with the Charlotte Checker of the AHL, failing to get on the scoreboard.

Ottawa Senators forward Jonathan Davidsson will play his first NHL game tonight. He was so happy that he hugged his AHL coach.

The Athletic's Arpon Basu had an interesting take on the Robby Fabbri trade, which you can read below.

Kris Letang is out of Pittsburgh's lineup for tonight's game against the New York Islanders. The Pens are staying tight-lipped on his issue, but The Athletic is saying he may have a groin injury.

Yet more bad news for the Winnipeg Jets on the injury front. Forward Gabriel Bourque will be out a minimum of four weeks due to a lower body injury.

With all the injuries piling up, looks like the Jets are separating Scheifele and Wheeler, with Wheeler moving to play centre!

Another injury blow for Colorado as well as it has been announced that starter Phillip Grubauer is day-to-day with a lower body injury and won't play for at least two games. Colorado is also currently missing Mikko Rantanen, Gabriel Landeskog, and Colin Wilson.

Alexander Steen of the Blues suffered a high ankle sprain in the win against Edmonton. He has been placed on IR and will be re-evaluated in four weeks.

Andrew Ladd, also known as the $5.5 million cap hit albatross of the NY Islanders will stay in Bridgeport (AHL) on a conditioning assignment for another two games.
